What should I wear?

Suits and sun dresses are perfect choices. Our wedding will have a colorful and floral vibe, inspired by a whimsical garden party. We encourage you to embrace the vibrant atmosphere with your attire. We look forward to seeing what you decide!

What’s the weather like?

Cle Elum is in the Cascade mountains, so it’s cooler than you may expect (especially in comparison to AZ or GA!). Since it’s August, Washington has very long days and the sun warms up nicely. The evenings and mornings can be cool, so bring a light jacket! Average temp in Cle Elum: https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/@5790229/climate

Do I need to stay at Suncadia?

Not necessarily, although we encourage it. Cle Elum has lots of Airbnbs and hotels available if you would prefer. There are a few advantages to staying at Suncadia though. First and foremost, we would love for this trip to be a vacation getaway for you and your family. Suncadia is a resort with lots to do such as pools, a gym, hiking trails, kayaking, a golf course and driving range, and a creek to play in. Staying on the property will give you access to all of these things. Another advantage is that you will be able to walk to everything on our wedding day (including home at the end of the night, if you know what I mean).

Do you have room blocks available?

Yes! Discounted rates are available up until July 7, 2025. Suncadia offers houses, condos, and hotel rooms - and we've blocked some of everything! Please see the "Travel" tab for more information.

I want to go to Canada while I'm out there, do you guys have any tips?

If you're planning to drive to Vancouver, BC from Washington, it's important to keep in mind the boarder crossing can take several hours. Getting into Canada is typically pretty quick, but returning back to the States can really back up. Especially if you're trying to go at a popular time (for example, lots of people do weekend trips up there, so a Sunday afternoon can be brutal). If you're thinking of going to Victoria, BC, we highly encourage you to book a ferry ahead of time. You'll depart out of Port Angeles, which is a very cute town! Most importantly, enjoy the trip and send us pictures!

Can I bring my kids?

Please do! We love kids! We just ask that you let us know in your RSVP how many kids meals we should accommodate for.

How on earth do you say "Cle Elum"?

We get it, Washington towns have very unique names! Here's a YouTube video of how to say it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL8NE-FPsr0
